Cooling from Heat - ammonia-water absorption chiller : ago congelo

ago congelo: ammonia-water absorption chiller for temperatures below 0°C

ago congelo –an ammonia-water absorption chiller was developed by AGO for the generation of refrigeration temperatures below 0°C. The system is most suitable for the heat utilization of a thermal power station (CHP), in particular in combination with EEG 2012 (CHP bonus for the cogeneration of heat and power).

  • Construction and delivery of ammonia-water absorption chillers with refrigeration capacities of 50 kW to 1,000 kW for each module within the service temperature range up to -10°C
  • Heat utilization concepts, e.g. for thermal power plants (CHP)
  • Calculation of profitability, e.g. in combination with EEG 2012
  • Precondition for an economic operation is a usable heat source from 90°C

Cooling from Heat – Heat Energy instead of Electrical Energy Temperatures below 0°C

As a standard, electrically powered compression refrigeration systems are used for the generation of refrigeration. In times of high energy costs, a cost-efficient alternative is appropriate: the absorption chiller powered by heat waste. It works on a principle, which is already known since the early 19th century. Nowadays, since the conscientious use of energy is well on its way to become a decisive selection criterion within refrigeration technology – the importance of refrigeration systems powered by heat waste is increasing.
