Dual Course of Studies „Engineering / Design Draftsman“

Since 2010, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen together with the University of Hof offers the possibility to combine academic studies with an apprenticeship. Compared to the normal course – apprenticeship and afterwards studies – students save up to two years. Moreover, they get financially compensated during the apprenticeship and for the time they spend in the company for internships during their studies.

Name of studies:
Engineering, focus on water and the environment in combination with the training as a design draftsman for heating, air conditioning and sanitary engineering

Qualification:
Vocational baccalaureate diploma or A-levels

Duration:
Within 4.5 years „Bachelor of Engineering“ and „Design Draftsman“

Course:

• 1st year: apprenticeship in the company/ block-release at vocational school of Kulmbach
• 2nd year: Studies of engineering at the University of Hof, fundamentals (1st and 2nd semester), during semester break block internship in the company and attendance at vocational school, intermediate examination by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce
• 3rd year: Studies of engineering at the University of Hof, core area (3rd and 4th semester), during semester break block internship in the company and attendance at vocational school
• 4th year: 1st term: studies of engineering at the University of Hof (5th semester), internship with project thesis,
  afterwards final examination as a design draftsman by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. 2nd term: studies of engineering at the University of Hof (6th semester), special focus on water and the environment
• 5th year: 1st term: studies of engineering (7th semester), special focus on water and the environment, at the end of the term Bachelor paper and final examination at the University of Hof
