A 55 % participation of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen

By founding AGO energia in Turin, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen is pursuing the operative target of pushing the construction and operation of biomass heating stations and biomass cogeneration plants respectively in Italy. Italy is one of Europe’s leading countries aiming at the extensive increase of the share of renewable energies in gross electricity consumption by 2010. The fuel therefore will be biomass.

The focus mainly lies on opening up the market for trigeneration which in Italy, measured at the energy mix, promises high potential. Especially the new amendment to the Italian compensation for feeding electricity derived from biomass into the grid offers long-term chances for AGO AG Energie + Anlagen. AGO in Italy in particular distinguishes from others by using trigeneration. Heat accumulating during power generation and production processes which to date was used only in small amounts in Italy offers considerable potential.

55 percent of the shares in the Italian project company are held by AGO AG Energie + Anlagen. 45 percent co-partners of AGO energia Turin are the investors Roberto Sacco and Paolo Gioia. The know-how for the construction of absorption chillers and the turnkey construction of biomass heating stations and biomass cogeneration plants respectively are subject to AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.

Marketing is taken care of by AGO energia and by a cooperation with Pro Ambiente srl. Plaus (Bozen). Pro Ambiente is planning biomass heating stations and biomass cogeneration plants respectively and has a long-term and well established channel of distribution with a good knowledge of the industry.
