Kulmbach, 29 April 2011: AGO AG Energie + Anlagen (WKN code: A0LR41, ISIN code: DE000A0LR415) is releasing today its Annual Report 2010 according to IFRS accounting standards.

Sales revenue increased from EUR 50.3 million by 5.1% to EUR 52.8 million during the business year 2010. 10.2% thereof was realized abroad. The gross margin amounted to 4.4%, compared to 10.2% of the previous year. The rise of production costs resulted especially from high heat supply costs of the biomass cogeneration plant Alperstedt that had to be covered since litigation was not concluded until the end of the business year 2010. EBIT worsened in 2010 to minus EUR 7.95 million, after EUR 1.67 million in the year before. Main causes were one-off-effects from the Alperstedt litigation. Unscheduled depreciations on property, plant and equipment in the amount of EUR 5.3 million and large other operating expenses of EUR 1.8 million had to be realized. Consolidated result decreased accordingly to minus EUR 8.3 million (previous year: EUR 0.3 million). Thus, the result per share (number of shares: 4,000,000) totaled to EUR -2.07 (previous year: EUR 0.06).

On 31 March 2011, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen reported incoming orders of EUR 21.0 million and order backlogs of EUR 47.1 million without the investment projects Berga and St. Luce. Both projects were excluded from order backlog on 31 December 2010 due to not yet completed financing.

“During the business year 2010, the main focus of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen was in particular to develop a further foundation of the company’s future, sustainable growth in the areas of decentralized energy supply units and international expansion.

Above all, we are assessing our opportunities of building decentralized energy supply units positively not only due to the current implementation of plants with an electrical power of altogether just below 50 MW. After the difficult year 2010, we are expecting a significantly better result for 2011 and an upward trend for the years to come. Liquid funds amounting to EUR 9.9 million on 31 December 2010 enable us with the necessary freedom of action to pursue our targets,” said Mr. Hans Ulrich Gruber, Speaker of the Management Board of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.
