AGO AG Energie + Anlagen: Announcement of preliminary figures 2007
+++ Increase of turnover of the corporate group of 19 percent to EUR 41.34 million
+++ One-time items of EUR 1.00 million lead to EBIT of EUR – 0.26 million
+++ Incoming orders in 2008 at record high of EUR 20.70 million
Kulmbach, 16 April 2008: AGO AG Energie + Anlagen (SCN: A0LR41; ISIN: DE000A0LR415) today have released their preliminary figures for the 2007 business year according to the IFRS accounting. Thus, the group’s turnover increased by approximately 19 percent from EUR 34.62 million in 2006 to EUR 41.34 million in the 2007 business year. The EBIT stated was EUR – 0.26 million (previous year: EUR 1.40 million). As a result, the group’s preliminary return at the end of 2007 is EUR – 0.86 million (previous year: EUR 0.36 million). The preliminary EPS is EUR – 0.22 per share (number of shares: 4.0 million pieces).
While the group turnover reached the internally set target, the EBIT remained below expectations due to one-time items associated with AGO AG Energie + Anlagen`s increase of capital stock of the previous year in the amount of approx. EUR 1.00 million. Additional costs in the year of the strategic reorientation from a mere plant constructor to a plant operator have to be attributed to a short-term price increase of assembly and transport capacities.
„Not until the final stage of the audit of annual accounts it became clear that the costs associated with the increase of capital lead to a debit which is not affecting expenses in the business year of 2007. Those special items that are not affecting expenses however do not have an influence on the cashflow reflection. Also the increased costs in connection with assembly capacity shortages depending on market conditions are onetime charges which in the future will be negligible owing to our change of strategy to less intensive assembly activities, according to Hans Ulrich Gruber, CFO of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.
The release of the business report 2007 of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen is planned for the end of April 2008.
For the first quarter of the 2008 business year AGO AG Energie + Anlagen can announce a record of incoming orders in the amount of EUR 20.70 million. This amount could be raised by about EUR 8.60 million from approx. EUR 12.10 million compared to this period of the previous year and could thus be raised by more than 71 percent. This record of incoming orders is mainly due to the delivery of different energy centres ordered by regular customers. Those are low-risk plants and will, as opposed to the one-time items in the year 2007, not affect the business year of 2008.
„As a specialist for regenerative energy we are convinced that the industry’s demand for ecologically useful energy solutions will increase even further. In the long run, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen will also profit thereof as a plant operator of biomass heating stations and biomass cogeneration plants. With four major projects, already nine months after our IPO, we fulfil our 12-months-goal, to acquire three to four new biomass heating stations or biomass cogeneration plants”, according to Helmut Peetz, COO of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.
Since its IPO on 28 June 2007, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen could announce the construction and subsequent operation of three biomass heating stations and biomass cogeneration plants respectively as well as one extension of a plant for industrial companies. As of 2009, annual revenue of a total of about EUR 5.44 million is expected from the operation of these four energy centres. Thus, within the 15 year period supply of heat, refrigeration and electricity coming from the four energy centres which are currently in construction, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen will gain total revenue in the amount of about EUR 81.6 million.
„Apart from the considerably improved order situation since our successful IPO we feel a constantly increasing level of awareness which reflects not only in an increased public perception of AGO AG but also in numerous applications from highly qualified staff which we have been receiving ever since. Owing to the highly improved equity base we are moreover nationally and internationally perceived as an attractive partner for investments both in Germany and abroad”, according to Hans Ulrich Gruber, CFO of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.
