AGO AG Energie + Anlagen: Extension of the biomass heating plant in Kölleda

+++ Extension of the heat supply plant in Kölleda +++
+++ Turnover increase by up to EUR 7.5 million through 15 year contract +++
+++ First class partnership confirmed +++

Kulmbach, 18 December 2007: AGO AG Energie + Anlagen (SCN: A0LR41; ISIN: DE000A0LR415) announces the extension of the Kölleda biomass heating station’s heat supply for Daimler. The biomass heating station was erected in 2002 and provides long-term supply of heat for production facilities of Daimler AG. With the extension of the plant in the next year, the new logistics center as well as the enlarged engine plant in Kölleda are to be additionally supplied with heat. Investments therefore required are limited to the erection of the connecting sections since the biomass heating station disposes of sufficient performance reserves. The operating company remains HolSoTherm GmbH which is a 74.5 % subsidiary of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen. The employer is MDC-Power GmbH which is a subsidiary of Daimler AG. Due to the extension, the annual turnover of HolSoTherm GmbH will increase by about 0.5 million Euros (75 %) per year. The contract period for the heat supply is 15 years. The new order thus results in a total order value of up to 7.5 million Euros.

„The enlargement of the cooperation with Daimler AG does not just represent a first class partnership but especially confirms our position as the leading offerer of contracting solutions all around the construction and operation of biomass heating stations and biomass cogeneration plants respectively. Owing to rising energy costs it becomes increasingly important for our customers to think about alternative energy and heat supply possibilities. Even we notice that more and more companies become aware of the advantages that biomass heating stations and biomass cogeneration plants offer. On the one hand, there’s the ability to plan costs better and on the other hand there’s a higher energy efficiency“, says Hans Ulrich Gruber, CFO of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.
