AGO AG Energie + Anlagen won a new contract for a combined heat and power plant (CHP) with trigeneration totaling 2.2 million Euro

  • Delivery of a trigeneration system with an electrical capacity of two megawatts and a refrigeration capacity of 475 kilowatts at a temperature of -6.7 degrees
  • Five-fold increase of incoming orders in the sector of absorption chillers compared to the previous year

Kulmbach, 9 December 2011: After the major contract about 9 million Euro on its home market Germany beginning of December 2011, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen (WKN: A0LR41, ISIN: DE000A0LR415) won again another important order in Bavaria.

The order volume for a new energy center of a food producing company amounts to 2.2 million Euro. AGO AG will install a combined heat and power plant with trigeneration. The heat generated from the combined heat and power system at an electrical capacity of two megawatts is used for the operation of the ago congelo ammonia-water absorption chiller, which produces 475 kilowatts of cold of minus 6.7 °C. Contrary to conventional compression refrigeration systems, the use of ago congelo entails an additional reduction of CO2 emissions besides a significant increase of efficiency. Completion of the energy center is scheduled for the third quarter of 2012.

“The order relating to the installation of a CHP with an ago congelo ammonia-water absorption chiller unfolds immense advantages to us. In addition to the confidence into our CHP expertise, our ago congelo system also finds more and more acknowledgement on the energy market. Whereas in 2010, we were only able to sell one system, the amount of incoming orders during the ongoing year 2011 rose to now five systems. We are very optimistic that such positive trend will continue in the year 2012, too”, said Hans Ulrich Gruber, Spokesman of the Management Board of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.
