AGO AG Energie + Anlagen enters further market

+++ Numerous potential buyers of ammonia/water absorption chiller
+++ Solution for different industry sectors
+++ Negotiations currently in progress

Kulmbach, 26 September 2007: AGO AG Energie + Anlagen (WKN: A0LR41; ISIN: DE000A0LR415) could gain a number of potential buyers for their ammonia/water absorption chiller on this year’s Colloquium of Refrigeration on 25 September 2007 in Kulmbach.

Suitable customers for these systems are companies that operate in the food and beverage industry, dairy industry, freezing and cold storage industry, pharmaceutical industry as well as breweries. For biogas plants in particular, the generation of refrigeration out of waste heat represents an economic extension of their offering range. With the technology of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen, biogas plants can exploit their potential further and can offer low-temperature-refrigeration of up to – 30°C to adjacent companies. Apart from heat consumers, the companies would also have refrigeration consumers when using the AGO technology and could thus secure the so called Cogeneration Bonus (in German: KWK-Bonus) for power input. Therefore, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen does not only make an economical contribution but also provides ecological advantages.

AGO AG Energie + Anlagen is currently negotiating with a number of industrial companies on delivery, installation, integration and commissioning of ammonia/water chillers. The company is expecting annual sales revenues of approximately EUR 1.0 million. “In several projects, we are entering the decisive phase and still expect contract conclusions in this year. Quite some time ago, we have recognized the trend of increasing procurement costs of primary energy carriers and found solutions for increasing the potential of waste heat”, says Helmut Peetz, COO of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen. With this system, the expert for energy plants for industrial companies can enter a further profitable market.

With a performance range of up to 500 kW, AGO AG Energie + Anlagen is the only operator of this technology in Germany. The period from order to commissioning is only 7 months. The requirement for an economical operation of such a system is the presence of cheap and often unused waste heat, e.g. from cogeneration, as is available in many combined heat and power plants and biogas plants.
