Kulmbach, 25 April 2008: AGO AG Energie + Anlagen (SCN: A0LR41; ISIN: DE000A0LR415) received a mention within the Industry Awards of 2008 of the “Initiative of small and medium-sized businesses”. AGO’s Ammonia-Water Absorption Chiller was awarded in the engineering category. The innovative product created by the specialists for regenerative energies which already sparked interest at the Kulmbach Colloquium of Refrigeration offers low temperature refrigeration until – 30° Celsius in the field of trigeneration. After the Innovation Price in 2007 for the biomass cogeneration plant Alperstedt operated by AGO AG Energie + Anlagen, the Industry Award 2008 already is the second honorable award of the “Initiative for small and medium-sized businesses”.
One of the first persons to congratulate was the Federal Minister for Economics and Technology, Michael Glos. At the Hannover Trade Fair “Energy”, Mr. Glos took the opportunity on 23 April 2008 to visit AGO’s booth and to congratulate the CFO Hans Ulrich Gruber. Apart from AGO’s awards for innovative and sector-decisive energy solutions also business activities were discussed. The CFO Mr. Gruber reported to the interested Federal Minister about the engine plant of Daimler AG in Kölleda which is supplied with energy by AGO. Also basic legal principles for feed-in tariffs in Germany and Italy were discussed. Due to its high feed-in tariffs for industrial suppliers on the basis of regenerative energies, Italy currently is the most interesting European country to AGO AG.
„The new award of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen and the appreciation by the Federal Minister of Economics Michael Glos makes us very proud. The extensive popularity shows that the path we have chosen making us a specialist for regenerative energies is right. Even politics support our ambition to find and offer further energy-efficient industrial solutions with procurement costs of fossil fuels increasing. Solely sales of the Ammonia-/ Water Absorption Chillers make us expect a medium-term turnover contribution of approximately EUR 1.0 million per year. Thus, we succeeded at opening up a further profitable market“, according to Helmut Peetz, COO of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.
