AGO Energy (Pty) Ltd achieves BBBEE Certification for 2010

Kulmbach, Cape Town, 29 December 2009: AGO Energy (PTY) Ltd., a fully-owned subsidiary of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen (WKN: A0LR41 / ISIN: DE000A0LR415) achieves for the year 2010 the BBBEE Certification (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) again.

South Africas policy to promote once aggrieved population groups in economic life (BBBEE) is not only an ethically motivated initiative to rehabilitate mistakes from the past. It is a pragmatic growth strategy that tends to open up the economic potential of the country. With BBBEE, a mechanism was developed, to let all population groups participate in wealth without creating new discriminations. This means for AGO AG, that e.g. students from once aggrieved population groups, work on their master thesis in Kulmbach. From January 2010 on, the first student of Cape Town University will be hosted for one year in Kulmbach. The planned student research project will deal with the subject-matter of locally heat-, cooling- and energy supply for South African industrial enterprises.
