M+W Zander Energie + Anlagen GmbH becomes AGO AG Energie + Anlagen
On 1 January 2007, M+W Zander Energie + Anlagen GmbH (Kulmbach) becomes AGO AG Energie + Anlagen.
AGO AG in the future intends to grow as an energy supplier. DaimlerChrysler and one of Germany’s largest greenhouse plants trust in the energy supply from the company from Kulmbach. In order to be able to expand more in this area it is necessary to raise the equity basis in 2007. Due to demerger activities of the corporate group the right to use the name “M+W Zander” is no longer given. That is why an independent company name was chosen in the course of the change of the legal form.
With the fortified capital structure new customers shall be acquired. Manager and future member of the Board of Directors of AGO AG Hans Ulrich Gruber emphasizes: “By establishing major projects in shortest possible periods we distinguish from competitive companies. That is why capital must be advanced which we therefore fortified in 2007.” Speed and ambition is what the new name is to express when it comes to the realization of major projects. The word “ago” is Latin and stands for “move”, “bring forward” and “operate”.
The customer service as well as the project business will be continued in the proven volume. AGO AG Energie + Anlagen sees the possibility of growth in industry contracting of power plants which operate with renewable energy. The first significant step in this area was achieved in 2002. Within six months a biomass power plant for DaimlerChrysler in Kölleda was erected. Between October 2005 and December 2006 a much larger power plant was planned, built and financed within a period of only 14 months: the Biomass Cogeneration Plant in Alperstedt supplies one of Germany’s largest greenhouse plants with heat and supplies the public network with electricity.
The former Managing Directors Helmut Peetz and Hans Ulrich Gruber equally assumed the two departments of Board of Directors; AGO AG Energie + Anlagen will inform about the composition of the supervisory board in 2007. Currently, shares rest with M+W Zander Gebäudetechnik GmbH at 100 %.
