During normal working hours, induction units for parapet mounting were exchanged on nine floors of the building. In the daytime, the IBM employees could work in their offices without interruptions and only after office hours, the team of mechanics started their installation work. Also during weekends, the installation work was carried on.
In the second construction phase, air conditioning units in the basement were exchanged. For uninterrupted operations of the highly sensitive computer centers, the refrigeration supply had to be ensured at any time without failure.
